University of Pennsylvania
Asian American Studies Program
Since 2017, Rob has worked as a part-time lecturer at University of Pennsylvania’s Asian American Studies Program where he teaches one course each semester. In Fall Semesters Rob teaches Fighting for Representation: The Asian American Cinema Movement, which provides a broad introduction to the history of persons of Asian descent living in the United States, examining the AAPI experience as told through the cinematic lens. In Spring Semesters he teaches Asian American Activism, a course that explores the historical oppression of AANHPIs in mainstream US society and how different groups throughout history have found ways to advocate on their own behalf.
