KIYOSHI - documentary film

Kiyoshi is the working title of a feature-length documentary biopic on Japanese American activist Kiyoshi Kuromiya. Born in Heart Mountain incarceration camp during WWII, Kuromiya advocated for civil rights, gay rights, and played a pivotal role in the HIV/AIDS crisis. Funded in part by Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, the film is a project of William Way LGBT Center in Philadelphia.

Rob is currently co-producing the film in partnership with director Glenn Holsten and producer Keith Brand. The film is expected to be completed in late 2025, and enter festival distribution in 2026.
